Sickness
1. Rabbits do not need to see a veterinarian on a regular basis. If they become sick they should be seen right away.
2. Signs of sickness include, not eating as usual, not drinking as usual, too much drinking (if it’s hot, they will drink more than usual and this should not be confused with drinking too much from sickness). If your rabbit is draining his drinking source several times a day and you have to change your rabbit’s bedding almost daily, then you have a problem.
3. If you see a crusty discharge coming from your rabbit’s eyes or nose take them to the veterinarian immediately. This is generally signs of a respiratory problem and they will need medication.
4. Any weight loss could also indicate a potential problem.
